Pasta With Anchovy And Onion Recipe
Ingredients
| Anchovies | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Olive oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Yellow onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), peeled | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| 1/4 cup Italian Gravy or your favorite spaghetti sauce | ||
| 1/4 cup whipping cream or Mock Cream | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| 1/2 pound pasta, cooked al dente | ||
| Parmesan or Romano cheese, freshly grated for topping | ||
Directions
Rinse the anchovies with lukewarm tap water and place in the milk.
Let them soak for 1/2 hour.
Heat a frying pan and add the olive oil.
Saute the onion and garlic until clear.
Dice the anchovies and add to the pan, discarding the milk.
Cook for 2 or 3 minutes until the anchovies begin to cook apart.
Add the Italian Gravy or spaghetti sauce and cream.
Add black pepper to taste.
Toss with the hot pasta and top with cheese.
