Ingredients
20 cloves unpeelded garlic
8 rashers bacon, chopped
30g butter
2 cups/125g breadcrumbs, made from stale bread
4 tblspn chopped fresh mixed herb leaves
Freshly ground black pepper
750g spinach, tomato linguine
Directions
Place unpeeled garlic cloves on a lightly greased baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes or until soft and golden.
Peel garlic and set aside.
Cook bacon in a frying pan over a medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until crisp.
Drain on absorbent kitchen paper.
Melt butter in a clean frying pan, add breadcrumbs, herbs and black pepper to taste and cook, stirring for 4-5 minutes or until breadcrumbs are golden.
Cook pasta in boiling water in a large saucepan.
Drain well and place in a warm serving bowl.
