Pasta in Italian Meat Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Tomato puree | 2 Can (10oz) | |
| Bermuda Onion - 1 no, large, quartered, sliced | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), sliced | |
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground beef | 1/2 pound | |
| Shortening | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Shell OR Elbow Macaroni - 1/2 of a 8-ounce packet, cooked, drained | ||
| Parmesan cheese | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
Directions
MAKING
1) Into the blender, add in the tomato puree, onion, garlic, sugar, salt, oregano and pepper.
2) Using the Stir blade, pulse for about 8 times till the onions are coarsely chopped.
3) In a large frying pan, heat the shortening. Add in the ground beef. Saute the meat till it changes color.
4) Add in the blended tomato mixture. Mix well.
5) Cover the pan and cook over low flame. Cook till the mixture thickens slightly. Add in the macaroni next.
SERVING
6) Serve the Pasta in Italian Meat Sauce sprinkled with parmesan cheese.
