Party Drum Cake Recipe
Party Drum Cake has a Matchless taste. The flour and semi sweet chocolate chips gives the Party Drum Cake Revitalizing taste.
Ingredients
2 cups sifted flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled
Directions
In large mixer bowl, combine dry ingredients.
Add buttermilk, vegetable shortening, eggs, and vanilla.
Blend on low speed of electric mixer, then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
Combine 1 cup batter and the melted chocolate.
Pour light batter into 2 greased and floured 8x1 1/2 inch round layer cake pans.
Spoon dark batter here and there over light batter.
Make marble effect by pulling knife through batter in wide curves; turn pan and repeat.
Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool.
Fill and frost with Fluffy Frosting.
Decorate with small red gumdrops around bottom and top edges.
Crisscross red licorice strips on sides of cake.
For drumsticks, cross 2 black licorice sticks on top; add a large red gumdrop to end of each.
