Party Cookies Recipe
These party cookies are peppy chocoloate chip cookies made spiced with cloves and cinnamon. Made with sugar, butter, applesauce and eggs along with flpur, the party cookies also have nuts in them and are baked as drop cookies. These make a perfect snack basket for your party.
Ingredients
| Shortening | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Applesauce | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 eggs, slightly beaten | ||
| Flour | 3 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soda | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Baking powder | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cinnamon | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cloves | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 2 t. nutmeg t. salt | ||
| Rolled oats | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Nuts | 2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 2 6 oz. pkgs. chocolate chips | ||
Directions
Cream first 5 ingredients thoroughly.
Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add remaining ingredients.
Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
