Party Peppermint Patties Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pkg. Chocolate Mint Cake Mix | ||
| Shortening | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Powdered sugar | ||
| 48 creme-filled mints | ||
| Decorator Icing or pastry tube and tips and tinted frosting | ||
Directions
Heat oven to 375°F.
Lightly grease cookie sheets.
In large bowl, combine cake mix, shortening, water and eggs; mix well.
Form dough into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets.
Bake at 375°F for 7 to 10 minutes or until edges are set.
Immediately place a creme-fmed mint in center of each cookie, pressing down lightly.
Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely.
Decorate as desired.
