Party Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 small uncut white bread loaf | ||
| Butter | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups cottage or curd cheese | ||
| 1 teaspoon each salt, paprika pepper and sugar | ||
| Cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| Tomato ketchup | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cooked ham | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Parsley | 4 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Chives | 4 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Wedges hard-cooked eggs | ||
| Tomato and radish slices | ||
| Stuffed olives | ||
Directions
Remove the crusts from all sides of the loaf.
Cut lengthwise in three thick slices.
Spread each slice, on one side, with the butter.
Mix half the cottage cheese with the salt, paprika, sugar and grated cheese.
Spread one slice of bread with this mixture and cover with a second slice.
Mix the remaining cottage cheese with the tomato ketchup and ham.
Spread the second slice of bread with the cheese and ham mixture and cover with the third slice.
Press chopped herbs into the sides of the loaf.
Chill for 30 minutes, then cut into slices to serve.
Garnish with wedges of hard-cooked egg, tomato and radish slices and stuffed olives.
