Party Fruit Salad Recipe
Are you looking for best of all Party Fruit Salad recipe? Fruits is one of the few ingredients I like to include in my daily cooking and this is my comfort recipe that I usually prepare using it. Not trying out this Party Fruit Salad after reading about it is one of the biggest sins you could possibly imagine of committing.
Ingredients
1 (20 oz) can pineapple chunks, save
2 Tbsp. juice
1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges, drained
2 cups seeded grapes
2 cups miniature marsh-mallows
1 (1 lb) can Royal Anne cherries, drained and pitted
2 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. pineapple juice
2 Tbsp. brandy or rose wine
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 cup almonds, blanched and diced
1/2 cup heavy cream whipped, or sour cream
Directions
In large salad bowl, combine pineapple chunks, oranges, grapes, marshmallows, and cherries.
Chill.
In 2 cup glass measure combine egg yolks, sugar, pineapple juice, brandy or wine, and dry mustard.
Microwave (high) 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until thick and light.
Chill.
Just before serving, drain liquid from fruit.
Fold cooled salad dressing, almonds, and cream into fruit until evenly blended.
Chill until serving time.
