Parsnips With Pears Recipe
Ingredients
| Parsnips | 3 Medium | |
| Safflower oil | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Sesame oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 large D'Anjou pear | ||
| Lemon juice | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Honey | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Wash and peel parsnips.
Slice into 1/4-inch slices.
Combine oils in a saucepan.
Stir in the parsnips.
Add enough water to cover bottom of pan.
Cover and steam until parsnips are nearly done and water is absorbed.
Peel, core, and slice the pear.
Sprinkle with the lemon juice.
Add to parsnips.
Combine ginger, salt, and honey.
Stir into parsnips.
Cover and simmer about 5 minutes, or until pears and parsnips are tender (do not overcook).
