Parsnips With Apple Recipe
Parsnips with apple is a spiced fruit and vegetable recipe. Cooked with tart apples and apple juice to taste along with cinnamon for flavor, the parsnips are light and fresh to taste. Great as a side in meals.
Ingredients
Nonstick cooking spray
1 tablespoon unsalted margarine
5 medium size parsnips peeled and sliced thin
1 medium size tart apple, peeled, cored, and sliced thin
1/4 cup unsweetened apple juice or water
Pinch ground cinnamon
Directions
Coat a medium size saucepan with the cooking spray, add the margarine, and set over moderate heat for 30 seconds.
Add the parsnips, apple, apple juice, and cinnamon, and cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until tender.
