Ingredients

 1 loaf French bread (about 15 inches)
 1/2 to 2/3 cup soft butter or margarine
 Onion2 Tablespoon, chopped
 Parsley1 Tablespoon, chopped
 Basil1 Tablespoon
 Lemon juice1 Teaspoon

Directions

Cut loaf in 3/4-inch slices, almost to bottom crust.
Combine remaining ingredients and spread on each slice.
Heat uncovered on cooky sheet in oven at 250° 25 minutes.
