Directions

MAKING
1.In a bowl, take a cup of flour.
2.Add salt.
3.Pour water little at a time and start bringing the dough together.
4.Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rest for half an hour.
5.Transfer the dough to a clean counter space and knead for 15 minutes.
6.Spray oil and roll into a log.
7.Divide the log into four equal portions.
8.Spray oil onto the individual portions.
9.Start rolling out the individual portion as thin as possible.
10.Spray some more oil and sprinkle some dry flour.
11.Start from one edge and make small folds all across the rolled out dough.
12.Bring the folds together lengthwise and roll them in concentric circles and tuck the free end in.
13.Gently press and roll out into a circular disc.
14.On a non stick griddle, fry the parottas using a little oil until they are golden brown on both sides.
15.Once done fluff the parottas be exerting a gentle pressure from either sides as shown in the video. This will bring out the layers.

SERVING
16. Serve warm with your favorite curry.

NOTE
This is is just a basic recipe which uses very little oil ,one can always add more or less according to their preference also one can include ingredients like eggs or milk .
