Parmesan Puff Chops Recipe
Ingredients
| Pork chops | 4 | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cheese Topping | ||
| Shortening | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1/2 cup Pillsbury's Best All Purpose Flour | ||
| Baking powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Parmesan cheese | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| Instant minced onion | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1/4 teaspoon pepper Paprika, if desired | ||
Directions
Arrange pork chops in a 9-inch square baking dish or skillet.
Place in 350° oven while preparing Cheese Topping.
Sprinkle with salt.
Turn chops over, spread with Cheese Topping to cover completely.
Sprinkle lightly with paprika, if desired.
Bake at 350° for about 1 hour or until golden brown.
Cheese Topping: Melt shortening in a medium saucepan.
Blend in flour and baking powder.
Gradually add milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until very thick.
Remove from heat and blend in unbeaten eggs, one at a time.
Cook over low heat, beating hard until very thick.
Remove from heat.
Add Parmesan cheese, onion, salt and pepper.
Blend thoroughly
