 Salt & pepper1 Pinch
 Garlic1 Clove (5 gm)
 Oil1⁄2 Liter (1/2- 1 litter)
 Flour4 Tablespoon (4- 5 heaped)
 Eggs2
 Potatoes3 Medium
 Butter1 Tablespoon
 Milk1⁄5 Liter

Directions

Preparation of the Steaks
Prepare the meat by adding the salt and crushed garlic to the steaks then setting them
aside for about a half an hour to marinate a bit. Add flour to one bowl and eggs to another
bowl. Pour oil into a small stock pot and allow it to heat over medium high heat. The oil
is hot enough when you can drop a little flour into it and it starts to chirp. While the oil is
heating, roll each steak in flour then the eggs then repeat a second time so the crust is a
bit thicker. Place the steaks in the heated oil, and fry for a minute, turn the steaks and fry
for another minute. The steaks will rise to the top when they are done but you should also
check bu cutting it open and making sure it is not pink inside. Remove the steak from
the oil and place on a paper towel

Preparation of the mashed Potatoes
Peel potatoes, cut into chunks and place in a pot for cooking. Add water and salt. Place
the dish on the stove and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and cook for another 10-15
minutes. Remove the boiled potatoes from the water and mash. Add milk and butter then
mix well to form a smooth mixture.

To serve add a fried steak alongside a healthy serving of potatoes and garnish with a slice
of lemon.
