Paprika Steak Recipe

The paprika steak is a beef steak made with a round steak cut. Cooked in a skillet with onions and garlic for flavor, the paprika steak is coated with a paprika, pepper, thyme and flour mix. Cooked with vegetable soup and and sour cream, the paprika steak can be served with rice or noodles.

Directions

Combine flour, paprika, thyme, pepper.
Pound into meat with meat hammer or edge of heavy saucer.
Cut meat into 6 pieces.
In a skillet brown meat, onion, garlic in shortening.
Blend soup and water, pour over meat.
Cover.
Simmer for 1 1/2 hours, occasionally spooning sauce over meat.
Remove meat from skillet to heated platter.
Stir sour cream into sauce; heat for a few minutes.
Pour over meat.
Sprinkle with additional paprika.
