Hot Paprika Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup (250 ml) chopped onions
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
2 tbsp (30 ml) paprika
1/2 cup (125 ml) dry white wine
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) hot white sauce
Few drops Tabasco sauce
Dash salt
Few drops lemon juice
Directions
Place onions in small saucepan and pour in water to cover.
Bring to boil and continue cooking 2 minutes; drain and set aside.
Heat butter in saucepan.
Cook drained onion and paprika 5 to 6 minutes over low heat.
Pour in wine; cook 5 minutes over high heat to reduce liquid by 2/3.
Mix in white sauce and remaining ingredients; cook 6 to 7 minutes over low heat.
