Paprika Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| 75 g. / 3 oz. butter | ||
| 75 g. / 3 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated | ||
| 125 g. / 4 oz. flour | ||
| 5 ml. / 1 teaspoon paprika | ||
| 2.5 ml. / 1/2 teaspoon salt | ||
| 2.5 ml. / 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard | ||
| 10 ml. / 2 teaspoons poppy seeds | ||
Directions
Beat the butter and grated cheese together until well blended.
Sift the flour and seasonings (except the poppy seeds) together, then fold into the butter mixture.
Form the mixture into small balls and place on well-greased baking sheets, well spaced apart.
Flatten the balls slightly.
Sprinkle over the poppy seeds.
Put into the oven preheated to moderate (180°C/350°F or Gas Mark 4) and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
