Are you looking for a special Papeta Ne Macchi Na Cutles recipe? Whenever I have Asian friends visiting I always prepare Papeta Ne Macchi Na Cutles which is most loved by them. My friends tried this Papeta Ne Macchi Na Cutles the other day and they simply adored it. Do I need to say more?

Ingredients

300 gms. mashed potato

400 gms. fish, boiled and deboned

2 tablespoons coriander seeds, coarsely ground

1 tablespoon cumin seeds, coarsely ground

1 tablespoon black peppercorns, coarsely ground

1 teaspoon chilli powder

1 teaspoon Parsi dhansakh masala

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

2 medium onions finely chopped

3 deseeded green chillies finely chopped

1 cup fresh coriander, washed and finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh mint, finely chopped

4-6 eggs

2 cups bread crumbs, salt, oil

Directions

1. Take a large thali or tray and place all the mashed potato and boiled fish on it and mix well.
2. Pick a small vessel or fry pan and place two tablespoons of oil in it. When the oil gets hot, lower the flame and cook all the dry spices for three minutes and tip the mixture over the mashed potato and fish. Add the onions, chillies, coriander, mint and salt and mix all the items thoroughly.
3. Wet your hands and make equal sized balls. Then flatten them and roll the balls in the bread crumbs. Shape the cakes on a wooden board so that they are round and flat at the top and bottom.
4. Beat the eggs. Heat oil in a fry pan and when it starts to smoke lower the flame and dip the cakes in the beaten eggs and fry four at a time till golden brown. Serve with dal or dried vegetables and rotlis.
