Panned Oysters Recipe
Ingredients
1 qt. large oysters
1 teaspoonful chopped parsley
4 tablespoonful butter
1/8 teaspoonful pepper
1 teaspoonful salt
1 cupful top milk or thin cream
2 teaspoonfuls finely grated onion
1/8 teaspoonful paprika
Toast
Directions
Drain the oysters in a colander, removing all the juice.
Place the butter in a frying pan until it melts.
Add the finely grated onion, oysters, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Cook for 5 min. or until the oysters curl on the edges.
Add the cream and parsley and serve immediately on buttered toast.
Scallops may be prepared in the same way.
