Panna Cotta with Black Sesame Seeds Recipe Video

Panna Cotta is a well known Italian dessert that may seem intimidating to make but is very easy to do. This Panna Cotta recipe is an Asian inspired one because instead of using vanilla bean, it calls for black sesame seed powder.

Directions

MAKING
1.Add gelatin to water and mix.
2.Heat the mixture for 20 seconds in the microwave.
3.Mix the gelatin until completely dissolved. Keep aside.
4.In another large pot add whipping cream, half and half and sugar. Mix well till the sugar is completely dissolved.
5.Put the mixture on stove top bringing the mixture to almost a boil.
6.Remove from heat and add the gelatin mixture.
7.Mix well till the gelatin is well incorporated.
8.Transfer this mixture to another bowl and add sesame seed powder.
9.Give it a final mix , transfer to ramekins and refrigerate for 4 to 12 hrs.

FINALIZING
10.After it is set, run the knife over the corners to help loosen it and place the ramekins in warm water so that the panna cotta comes out easily.

SERVING
11.Gently invert the panna cotta onto dessert plate and serve immediately.
