Pan Fried Fish Recipe

The taste of this Panfried Fish has played on my mind so much that I seldom go for any another recipe of Panfried Fish. Fish is the most important ingredient in Panfried Fish. I prefer to make Panfried Fish as a Side Dish for all my family get-togethers. I am sure both of us will be in agreement that this Panfried Fish is truly scrumptious.

Ingredients

 
2 pounds fish fillets, steaks or pan-dressed fish
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
1/8 teaspoon pepper
 
1 egg
 
1 tablespoon water
 
1 cup all-purpose flour, buttermilk baking mix, cornmeal or grated Parmesan cheese
 
Shortening (part butter)

Directions

If fillets are large, cut into serving pieces.
Season both sides of fish with salt and pepper.
Blend egg and water.
Dip fish into egg, then coat with flour.
Heat shortening (1/8 inch) in skillet.
Turning fish carefully to brown both sides, cook in shortening over medium heat about 10 minutes.
