Paneer (Tofu) Bhurji Recipe

Ingredients

 
1. Onion- 1 big
 
2. Green Peas - 100 gms
 
3. Tofu/ Paneer(Cottage Cheese) - 200 gms
 
4. Tomato - 2
 
5. Green Chilly- to taste
 
6. Cumin Powder - 1/2 table spoon
 
7. Coriander Powder - 1/2 table spoon
 
8. Chilly Powder- 1/4 tea spoon
 
9. Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tea spoon
 
10. Ginger

Directions

1. cut onions, ginger and green chilly, tomato in small pieces
2. Put the frying pan on stove and put some oil in it after heating
3. Put green chilly, onions and ginger in the pan
4. Add Green Peas and fry for 3-4 minutes on high flame
5. Take the Tofu/ Paneer and mash it with your hand directly in the pan
6. Add Salt to taste
7. Fry for 3-4 minutes
8. Add Cumin, coriander, Red Chilly, Turmeric powder
9. Fry for another 3-4 minutes
10. Add tomato pieces.
11. Fry for 3-4 minutes again.
12. Can add coriander leaves for serving.

Tofu is Soy Bean Curd and Paneer is Cottage Cheese. Do you suggest using both these cheeses while making the dish or just either of them?

you can use either of them. I generally don't get Cottage cheese easily here in New York where I live, so have to work with Tofu. Works better with Cottage cheese. Kumar
