pandan ice tea Recipe
try this very exotic refreshing iced tea, experience it's very sweet aroma and taste. it is essentially rich in flavonoids which are antioxidants that are known today to fight cancer. a very refreshing drink for the summer season and a healthy choice too!

Ingredients
| Water | 1 Gallon | |
| Tea bags | 5 | |
| Screwpine leave | 4 (pandam) | |
| Brown sugar | 3 Cup (48 tbs) | |
| Shaved ice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
Directions
I. boil the water, tea bags, pandan leaves and brown sugar together
until aromatic and well-flavored.
II. adjust sweetness as needed. strain the tea then cool.
III. serve with shaved ice and garnish with screwpine leaves (pandan leaves).
IV. (optional) can be added with juice of 4 calamansi or philippine lemon (aka: acid orange, calamondin orange)

thanks for the appreciation. please be informed that the plant (screwpine or commonly known as pandan) is a rare plant in the wild though it is a common ingredient among southeast asian dishes. but don't despair, this plant is cultivated widely as is it is now a very popular flavoring in cooking among other nations. the leaves can either be used fresh or wilted, and are commercially available in frozen form in asian grocery stores in nations where the plant does not grow. hope that helps when you try to search for the leaves.
