Pancakes Recipe
These homemade pancakes are griddle cooked pancakes made with buttermilk or sour milk. Prepared with a batter of eggs, flour, sugar, salt and butter, these pancakes can be served for breakfast or enjoyed as a light lunch.
Ingredients
| Eggs | 3 , separated | |
| Melted butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| All purpose flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 2/3 cups buttermilk or sour milk | ||
Directions
Beat yolks of eggs lightly.
Blend in butter and sugar.
Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk or sour milk.
Beat until smooth, fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and bake on griddle.
No fat necessary on griddle.
