Salt and freshly ground pepper for seasoning

Directions
1. Preheat saute pan on High heat and oven to 325 °F.
2. Season steaks as desired.
3. Add a thin layer of oil to saute pan until hot.
4. When the oil begins to smoke, add steaks and sear about two minutes per side.
5. Place in 325 °F preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until beef reaches the desired degree of doneness.
6. Remove steaks from oven and add butter, shallots, garlic and thyme to pan.
7. Baste steaks for 30 seconds or more for great flavor. Enjoy!
