Pan-Fried Lamb Slices Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 leg of lamb
 
2 or 3 medium onions
 
Butter or vegetable shortening
 
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

With a sharp knife cut lamb into 1/2-inch slices.
Peel and slice onions into rings, brown onions in butter in large skillet.
Drain onions and set aside to keep warm.
In same shortening, fry meat slices, season with salt and pepper.
To serve, arrange meat on a platter.
Cover slices with drained onions.
Serve, with mashed potatoes and a salad

This recipe is not adequate. How long and what temp to use for the lamb slices? You need to do better than this.
