Pan Gravy Recipe
Pan Gravy was my family cook's signature dish, now that he's gone I have taken up the task of preparing it for the family. Best enjoyed as a Side Dish this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. Ingredients
Pan drippings
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 cup meat juices, broth, or water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Pour off all but 2 tablespoons pan drippings from pan.
Add flour, stirring until smooth.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually add meat juice; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in salt and pepper.
