Pan Fried Pizza Recipe
Ingredients
| Self rising flour | 8 Ounce | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Tomato Puree - 4 tablespoons or Canned Italian Tomatoes -1, 14 ounces | ||
| Saint Pauline or Port Salute Cheese - cut into cubes (150 gram) | ||
| Black olives | 1 Dozen, chopped | |
| Mixed herbs | 1 Teaspoon, dried | |
| Anchovy fillets, | 1 3/4 Ounce, canned | |
Directions
MAKING
1) Into a bowl, sieve the flour, salt and freshly ground pepper
2) Make a small depression in the center of pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 4 tablespoons of water
3) Mix to make a smooth dough
4) Add more water as required
5) Onto a floured surface, turn the dough and knead
6) Using a rolling pin, roll out to line the base of a 9inch frying pan
7) Into the frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and place the circular dough and heat over for about 5 minutes till base is browned lightly
8) Onto an oiled plate turn the pizza base onto it
9) Heat the reverse side of the base
10) Spread the tomato puree over the
11) Scatter the cubes cheese, black olives, herbs and finally arrange the anchovy fillets
12) Drizzle the oil from the anchovy tin, onto the pizza
13) Using a spatula check to see if the base is cooked
SERVING
14) Lift the pizza out of the frying pan and serve immediately with some crispy salad
