Pan Fried Fish Recipe
Ingredients
| Fish fillets | 2 Pound, frozen | |
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Water | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 3/4 cup finely crushed saltine crackers or cornmeal | ||
| Shortening | ||
Directions
Thaw frozen fish.
Cut fillets or steaks into 6 portions.
Combine egg and water.
Mix cracker crumbs or cornmeal, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper.
Dip fish into egg mixture, then roll in crumbs.
Heat small amount of shortening in skillet; add fish in single layer.
Fry over medium heat till browned on one side, 4 to 5 minutes.
Turn; brown other side till fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, 4 to 5 minutes more.
Drain on paper toweling.
