Palmiers Recipe

Ingredients
About 1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
3/4 (17-1/4-oz., 489-g) pkg. frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 egg yolk, beaten
Directions
Sprinkle some sugar over a large piece of waxed paper.
Roll out pastry dough on sugared paper to a 14x12-inch (35x30-cm) rectangle.
Sprinkle dough with a little sugar and roll up 2 shorter edges of dough towards each other to meet in the center.
Brush with egg yolk and turn roll over.
Using a sharp knife, cut into slices 1/4 inch (5 mm) thick.
Sprinkle baking sheets with cold water.
Place slices well apart on baking sheets; brush with egg yolk.
Refrigerate 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
Bake 8 to 1,2 minutes or until puffed and golden.
