Palak Pulao Recipe

Ingredients
| Basmati rice | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
| Chopped spinach | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
| Sliced onion | 2 Medium | |
| Cloves | 3 | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Inch | |
| Black peppercorns | To Taste | |
| Green cardamom | 3 | |
| Ginger | 1 Inch, finely chopped | |
| Green chillies | 3 , finely chopped | |
| Turmeric powder | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Ghee | 2 Tablespoon (oil) | |
| Salt | To Taste |
Directions
1. Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes.
2. Heat ghee and add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and black peppercorns. Saute for a few seconds.
3. Add sliced onions and fry till translucent.
4. Add ginger, green chilli, turmeric powder and spinach. Cook till the spinach is soft.
5. Add 4 cups of water and salt. Bring it to a boil.
6. Drain the water from rice and add it to the boiling water. Cook on a high heat till it comes to a boil again.
7. Mix well and allow it to cook on a medium heat till all the water evaporates stirring casually.
8. Serve hot along with raita or any curry.

I just recently saw your recipes and find them all interesting. I tried mushroom curry today and it was good. Your recipes are very simple and homely so I like them and am going to try them one by one.
