Paisley Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup quick cooking rice | ||
| Chicken broth | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| 1/4 cup Italian-style dressing | ||
| Soy sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 cup grated raw carrot | ||
| 5 or 6 fresh mushrooms, sliced | ||
| 1/3 cup diced pimento or black olives | ||
| Toasted almonds | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup diced ham, cooked chicken or shrimp | ||
Directions
Cook rice in chicken broth according to directions.
While still hot, stir in all remaining ingredients.
Heat thoroughly without cooking.
Season with salt and black pepper.
Pass sour cream with chopped chives.
