Pagach Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 loaves frozen bread dough | ||
| Potatoes | 5 Pound, pared | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 1 pound, shredded | |
| Butter stick/Margarine | 3/4 | |
| Onion | 1 , diced | |
Directions
Thaw bread dough in refrigerator overnight.
Saute onion in butter.
Boil potatoes and mash*.
Add shredded cheese and beat.
Stir in butter and onion.
Pat or roll one loaf of bread dough to fit in greased jelly-roll pan.
Spread all of the potato and cheese mixture on top.
Roll second loaf of bread dough to put on top.
Seal all edges, bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Makes a large quantity; it's simple and delicious! Instead of using potatoes youmay also fry cabbage with butter and use that as the filling.
