Oyster Stew Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dash bottled hot pepper sauce | ||
| Oysters | 1 Pint, undrained | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1 Quart, scalded | |
Directions
In saucepan blend flour, salt, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, and 2 tablespoons water.
Add oysters and butter.
Simmer over very low heat and stir gently till edges of oysters curl, 3 to 4 minutes.
Add hot milk; remove from heat and cover.
Let stand 15 minutes.
Reheat briefly.
Top servings with pats of butter, if desired.
