Oyster Pate Recipe
Ingredients
| Oysters | 1 Pint, shucked | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 14 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing | ||
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 2 Teaspoon, finley chopped | |
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 teaspoon bottled hot pepper sauce | ||
| Unflavored gelatin | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cold water | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 hard-cooked egg, chopped | ||
Directions
Drain oysters.
Cook oysters, covered, in 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat till edges curl, about 2 minutes.
Drain.
In blender combine oysters, mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons butter, lemon juice, onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt, mustard, and hot pepper sauce.
Cover; blend.Soften gelatin in cold water.
Dissolve over hot water.
Stir into oyster mixture.
Turn into a small mold.
Chill several hours.
Unmold carefully.
Garnish with chopped hard-cooked egg.
Serve with crackers.
