Ingredients
| Margarine | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Fleischmann's Brand) | |
| Celery | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Carrots | 1 Cup (16 tbs), finely grated | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, minced | |
| Leek | 1 , thinly sliced | |
| Margarine | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Fleischmann's Brand) | |
| Flour | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1 Pint | |
| Light cream | 1 Pint | |
| Oysters | 1 Pint (Fresh Or Canned) | |
| Clams with juice/Minced clams | 1 Can (10 oz) | |
| Dry white wine/Dry sherry | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Grated strong cheddar cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Crushed potato chips | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Margarine | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Fleischmann's Brand) | |
| All purpose flour | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Prepared mustard | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste |
Directions
Melt the 1/2 cup Fleischmann's Margarine, add celery, carrots, onion and leek.
Stir until well coated with the margarine.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes over very low heat, stirring once or twice.
Make a white sauce with the 1/4 cup Fleischmann's Margarine, flour, milk and cream, stirring all the time until thick and creamy.
Add the vegetables, salt and pepper.
Mix well and set aside until ready to serve.
Measure the cheese and chips after grating or crushing.
Place the cheese in a bowl with the remaining ingredients and blend.
Place on an unbuttered baking sheet in small spoonfuls, flattening slightly with the bottom of the spoon.
Bake at 375° for 5 to 8 mins. or until golden brown.
Cool on a cake rack.
