Overstuffed Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
2 cans (10 3/4 ounces each) condensed golden mushroom soup
2/3 cup water
1 package (8 ounces) herb seasoned stuffing mix
2 broiler-fryers (about 2 1/4 pounds each), split
Paprika
1/3 cup chopped onion
Generous dash poultry seasoning
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Directions
Combine soup with water.
In roasting pan (15xl0 1/2"), mix 2/3 cup soup mixture with stuffing mix; spread in pan.
Arrange broilers over stuffing; sprinkle with paprika.
Cover; bake at 400°F. for 30 minutes.
Uncover; bake 45 minutes longer or until tender.
Meanwhile, in saucepan, cook onion with seasoning in butter until onion is tender.
Stir in remaining soup mixture.
Heat; stir occasionally.
