Overnight Marinated West Coast Round Steak Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. boneless round steak, 1/4 to 1/2-in. thick | ||
| Teriyaki sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Barbecue sauce | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter or margarine | ||
| Onion | 1 Medium, separated into rings | |
Directions
Cut steak into serving size pieces, removing excess fat.
Pound both sides with meat mallet or edge of saucer.
Place meat in baking dish.
Combine teriyaki sauce, water and barbecue sauce.
Pour over meat.
Let stand covered in refrigerator overnight, turning meat once or twice.
Preheat browning dish at High 5 minutes.
Add butter and steak.
Microwave at High 15 seconds; turn steak pieces over.
Add onions.
Cover.
Reduce power to 50% (Medium).
Microwave 12 to 18 minutes, or until meat is fork tender, turning meat once.
Let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
