Oven Fries Recipe
Ingredients
| Potatoes | 4 Large, baking | |
| Black pepper | 1 |
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Peel the potatoes and soak them in ice water.
Cut each potato into slices, 1/4 inch thick.
Cut each slice into strips, 1/4 inch thick.
Return to ice water until ready to cook.
Drain strips and dry them on paper towels.
Arrange the potatoes without overlapping them on nonstick baking sheets with rims, or on baking sheets lightly sprayed with vegetable cooking spray or lined with nonstick baking pan liners.
Bake in the top half of the oven for 15 minutes.
Turn potatoes over.
Bake for 20 more minutes or until potatoes are golden brown and tender.
Sprinkle with pepper and serve hot.
