| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Water | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Bread crumbs | 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
| Shortening | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted |
Directions
If scallops are large, cut into cubes of about 3/4 inch size.
Season with salt and pepper.
Beat egg and water together.
Dip scallops in egg, crumbs and then into melted shortening.
Place in a shallow baking dish.
Bake in a hot oven (450°F.) 20 to 25 minutes.
