Oven-Fried Chicken Recipe
Oven-Fried Chicken is a wonderful chicken dish that is both delicious and filling. This easy to make Chicken Delight is a perfect dish to add to your dinner menu.
Ingredients
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
21/2- to 3 pound broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
Directions
Heat oven to 425°.
In oven, melt shortening and butter in baking pan, 13x9x2 inches.
Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper; coat chicken with flour mixture.
Arrange chicken skin side down in shortening.
Bake uncovered 30 minutes.
Turn chicken; bake uncovered 30 minutes longer or until done.
For a delicious dinner, accompany with baked potatoes,
Peas and Almonds and Raspberry Pie
