Oven Crunched Herb And Sesame Chicken Recipe
I was served this Oven Crunched Herb and Sesame Chicken at a Labor Day party last year and boy it made me forget the KFC chicken that I usually gorge on every weekend. I have now planned to serve it to my guests this Labor Day.
Ingredients
8 chicken legs
30 ml/2 tbsp plain flour
85 g/3 1/2 oz/1 packet of parsley, thyme and lemon stuffing mix
30 ml/2 tbsp sesame seeds
5 ml/1 tsp garlic salt
1 large egg, beaten
60 ml/4 tbsp sunflower oil
TO SERVE:
Salad filled baguettes
Directions
Pull off and discard the skin from the chicken legs.
Wipe them carefully with kitchen paper (paper towels), then dust the legs with flour.
Mix the stuffing with the sesame seeds and garlic salt.
Dip the legs in the beaten egg, then the stuffing mixture.
Pour the oil in a shallow baking tin (pan).
Place the chicken legs in it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C/375°F/gas mark 5 for 20 minutes, turn over and cook on the other side for a further 20 minutes until crisp and golden.
Drain on kitchen paper.
Leave to cool.
Place in an airtight container.
