Oven Fried Turkey Strips Recipe
This Oven Fried Turkey Strips recipe easily finds way to the top of my favorite list. I never fail to eat Side Dish while dining out and this is the most common dish that I order. Poultry is the primary ingredient in Oven Fried Turkey Strips. In my estimation, if one is a chef, one needs to have a personal recipe of Oven Fried Turkey Strips, just like I do.
Ingredients
1 6-pound fresh or frozen (thawed) turkey breast
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon paprika
4 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cups dried bread crumbs
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 cup butter or margarine (2 sticks)
Directions
1. Remove skin and bone from turkey breast and discard. Cut turkey breast into 1-inch-thick slices; cut slices into strips about 5" by 1".
2. Preheat oven to 500°F. Mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper on a sheet of waxed paper and place bread crumbs on another. In pie plate, beat eggs with milk. Coat each turkey strip with flour mixture, egg mixture, then crumbs.
3. In oven, in 15 1/2" by 10 1/2" jelly-roll pan, melt1/2 cup butter or margarine. Remove pan from oven. Arrange half of turkey strips in single layer in pan; bake 15 minutes, turning once, until lightly browned and tender. Keep warm.
