Ottawa Valley Pumpkin Pie Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups cooked or canned pumpkin
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon each salt, ground cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg
1 tablespoon molasses
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup scalded milk
1 baked 9-in. pie shell
Directions
Combine all ingredients, except baked pie shell, in the top of a double boiler.
Cook over boiling water until mixture is thick, stirring occasionally.
Cool slightly.
Pour filling into pie shell.
