Oriental Pork Recipe

Oriental pork is a stylised pork preparation in gravy that is cooked with pork strips, orange juice, soy sauce and cornstarch. Microwaved with veggies like beansprouts and chinese cabbage for a an oriental taste, the oriental pork can be served over rice or noddles.

Directions

Combine pork, 1/2 cup water, the orange juice, salt, pepper and soy sauce in 2 quart casserole.
Cover and microwave 10 minutes.
Stir in water chestnuts, bean sprouts and cab bage.
Cover and microwave until cabbage is tender, 3 to 4 minutes.
Blend cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water in 2 cup glass measure.
Drain juices from meat mixture into cornstarch mixture; stir well.
Microwave until mixture boils and thickens slightly, 2 to 3 minutes.
Pour over meat and vegetables.
Serve over rice.
