Oriental Plum Chicken Wings Recipe
Ingredients
| 900 g/2 lb chicken wings | ||
| 30 ml/2 tbsp wine vinegar | ||
| 60 ml/4 tbsp sunflower oil | ||
| 30 ml/2 tbsp soy sauce | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| 30 ml/2 tbsp golden syrup | ||
| 30 ml/2 tbsp tomato puree | ||
| 30 ml/2 tbsp plum jam | ||
| 15 ml/1 tbsp lemon juice | ||
| 5 ml/1 tsp ground ginger | ||
Directions
Cut off and discard the wing tips from the chicken.
Cut the wings into two pieces at the next joint.
Mix the remaining ingredients together in a large shallow baking tin (pan).
Add the chicken and turn to coat in the mixture.
Leave to marinate for at least 1 hour.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4 for about 1 hour, turning occasionally until tender and coated in a sticky glaze.
Serve warm or cold.
