Simple Oriental Ribs Recipe
This Oriental Ribs recipe is one of the gems from my family cookbook. The main ingredient in this recipe is Pork. In my estimation, if one is a chef, one needs to have a personal recipe of Oriental Ribs, just like I do.
Ingredients
4 1b pork back ribs 2 kg
1/2 cup each dry sherry, orange juice and soy sauce 125 ml
2 Tb minced fresh gingerroot 25 ml
1 cup honey 250 ml
Green onions
Directions
Line base and sides of large roasting pan with piece of foil large enough to wrap over and enclose ribs completely.
Cut ribs into serving size pieces; place ribs in pan.
In small bowl, combine sherry, orange juice, soy sauce and gin gerroot; pour mixture over ribs.
Wrap foil over ribs, sealing edges.
Bake in 350F (180C) oven 50 minutes, until ribs are tender.
Unwrap ribs.
Drain off and reserve 1 cup (250 ml) of the cooking liquid.
In small bowl, combine reserved cooking liquid and honey.
Place ribs on oiled barbecue grill; grill over medium high heat 20 minutes, turning often and basting with honey mixture, until ribs are golden brown and glazed.
Garnish with green onion curls.
