Oriental Punch Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Whole Cloves | 6 | |
| Cinnamon stick | 1 | |
| Ground ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mint leaves | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Juice of 2 large lemons | ||
| Juice of 3 oranges | ||
| 2 drops peppermint flavoring | ||
| Ice cubes | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mint sprigs for garnish | ||
Directions
Combine sugar, cloves, cinnamon stick, ginger, and water in a saucepan; boil for 3 minutes.
Drop mint leaves into syrup, cover, and let stand until cool; strain.
Combine the cooled syrup with the lemon and orange juice and peppermint flavoring.
Place ice cubes in 8 large frosted glasses, pour over punch, and garnish with mint
