Oriental Pork Chops Recipe

These oriental pork chops are made with chinese flavor to it. Marinated with spices like garlic and ginger root with a hserry and soy sauce base, the oriental pork chops have a hint of orange peel to taste. Grilled to cook, these pork chops can be served with steamed buns or a side of choice.

Ingredients

 Vegetable oil2 Tablespoon
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), minced
 4 teaspoons minced ginger root
 1/2 cup dry sherry wine
 Soy sauce1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Honey1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Orange peel1 Tablespoon, grated
 Sesame seeds1 Tablespoon
 3/4 teaspoon TABASCO pepper sauce
 4 pork chops, 1 inch thick
 Cornstarch1 Teaspoon
 Water2 Tablespoon
 Orange slices, cut into quarters

Directions

In medium saucepan heat oil.
Add garlic and ginger; cook 1 minute.
Remove from heat; add sherry, soy sauce, honey, orange peel, sesame seeds and Tabasco® sauce.
Place chops in large shallow dish or plastic bag; add marinade.
Cover; refrigerate 1 hour; turn chops occasionally.
Remove chops from marinade; pour marinade into small saucepan.
Place chops on grill about 5 inches from source of heat.
Grill 10 minutes on each side.
Meanwhile, in small bowl combine cornstarch and water; stir into marinade.
Stir constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat and boil 1 minute.
Brush chops with marinade.
Grill 5 to 10 minutes longer or until chops are done; turn and brush frequently with marinade.
Serve remaining marinade with chops.
Garnish with orange slices.
