Oriental Meatballs In Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground beef | 1 Pound | |
| Ground pork | 1 Pound | |
| Water chestnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped | |
| Green pepper | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped | |
| Green onions | 3 , chopped | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Pineapple juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Pineapple | 1 Can (10oz), undrained (Sauce:) | |
| 1 tablespoon instant beef bouillon granules | ||
| 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed | ||
| Cornstarch | 2 Tablespoon (Sauce:) | |
| Soy sauce | 1 Tablespoon (Sauce:) | |
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon (Sauce:) | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Sauce:) | |
Directions
In large mixing bowl, combine beef, pork, water chestnuts, green pepper, onions, salt, soy sauce and pineapple juice; mix well.
Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
Arrange in 2-quart oblong glass baking dish.
Cover with wax paper.
Microwave at HIGH (10) 9 to 13 minutes until meats are thoroughly cooked; rearrange after 6 minutes.
Drain meatballs and set aside.
Drain pineapple, reserving liquid.
In 4 cup glass measure, combine reserved pineapple juice, beef bouillon, brown sugar, cornstarch, soy sauce vinegar and water.
Microwave at HIGH (10) 4 to 5 minutes, until mixture thickens; stir after 2 minutes.
Add pineapple.
Pour sauce over meatballs.
Microwave at HIGH (10) 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.
